About Us
Your Coach!
I’m Susie Roberts, a registered dietitian nutritionist since 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University. My training focused on the science of food, nutrition, and its impact on human health.
Although I have been a steadfast believer in and promoter of health most of my life, I am just like you! For decades the number on the scale dictated how I felt about myself. However, after struggling through menopause for the last 10 years, I have finally learned to give myself (& my body) grace.
Health is complex…and it’s very personal!
I am dedicated to promoting healthy aging and preventing dementia. Having witnessed the effects of Lewy Body dementia on my father-in-law, I now actively support and inform others about the MIND eating pattern (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay), a scientifically supported strategy to lower the risk of dementia and preserve brain function with age.
I also work part-time at a critical access hospital in rural Iowa where I serve as the Quality Manager for the Diabetes Education program, as well as seeing patients. In addition, I am spearheading a new initiative to help the facility become a certified Diabetes Prevention Program provider, aiming to increase community access to nutritional services.
In everything I do, my goal is to make a difference in people’s lives. Professionally, I find it rewarding to mentor aspiring dietitians and championing our field. Away from work, I enjoy active pursuits like hiking, biking, and quality moments with loved ones, especially my eight nieces and nephews, all under six years old!
